心

hṛd, hṛdaya [lang id =1028]汗栗太 (or [lang id =1028]汗栗馱); [lang id =1028]紀哩馱 the heart, mind, soul; (sa) citta [lang id =1028]質多 the heart as the seat of thought or intelligence. In both senses the heart is likened to a lotus. There are various definitions, of which the following are six instances:

(1) [lang id =1028]肉團心 hṛd, the physical heart of sentient or nonsentient living beings, e. g. men, trees, etc.

(2) [lang id =1028]集起心 (sa) citta, the (sa) ālayavijñāna, or totality of mind, and the source of all mental activity.

(3) [lang id =1028]思量心 (sa) manas, the thinking and calculating mind;

(4) [lang id =1028]緣慮心; [lang id =1028]了別心; [lang id =1028]慮知心; (sa) citta; the discriminating mind;

(5) [lang id =1028]堅實心 the (sa) bhūtatathatā mind, or the permanent mind;

(6) [lang id =1028]積聚精要心 the mind essence of the sutras.

此指執取具有思量（緣慮）作用之法， 此有不同的定義。 一、 為心王及心所法之總稱， 繫相對於色法而言， 相當於五蘊中之受、 想、 行、 識四蘊。 二、 指心王， 屬五位之一， 相當於五蘊中之識蘊。 指統一心之主體八識而言。 三、 對於心、 意、 識三者， 小乘有部等主張， 三者同體而異名。 但在大乘唯識宗， 心則指第八阿賴耶識， 含有積集之義， 乃諸法產生的根本體， 故亦稱為集起心， 即阿賴耶識蓄積種子而能生起現行之意。

指無形的精神作用， 也就是佛教所說的八個識： 眼識、 耳識、 鼻識、 舌識、 身識、 意識、 末那識、 阿賴耶識。
